Revenue & Expenditure

Revenue: The Department collected a sum of Rs. 145.28 lakhs as revenue from various forest produces during the year 2005-06. During the later part of the year, revenue from timber was collected from the approved Working Plan areas viz. Eastern Forest Division, Ukhrul and Tengnoupal Forest Division, Chandel. The outlay under Major Head 2402- Soil and Water Conservation is Rs. 70.00 lakhs.  Besides the State plan schemes the Department also implement 5 (five) Centrally sponsored schemes.
