Bishnupur Forest Division :

It is bounded by Central Forest Division in the East, Western forest Division in the North, Thoubal Forest Division in the South and Southern Forest Division in the West with a geographical area of 652.64 sqkm and forest area of 148.15 sqkm. This Division has a little area under Reserved Forests and a few RFs namely, Langjingmanbi RF, Khongjaingamba Reserved Forests, Warok Reserved Forests and Konung Reserved Forests, The Loktak Lake and the Keibul Lamjao National Park are under the jurisdiction of this division. This division also manages a portion of Tairenpokpi-Tamenglong Protected Forests in Senapati District from the Kotlien area to the Old Cachar Road, and adjoining forest area which is a portion of the Churachandpur Khoupum Protected Forests in Churachandpur District from Old Cachar to Kangvai-Ningthiching Spur which forms immediate catchment of Loktak Lake are also under the management of this Division. The headquarters of this Division is at Bishnupur. The division is situated between 24° 15’30’’ and 24° 49’7’’ N latitudes and 93° 41’45’’ and 93° 54’45’’ E longitudes.
